To my sweet big brother, Chris! I miss you sooo much already. I keep waiting for you to come walk in the room. I know you are not physically here, but you will always be here in my heart. I'm so glad we got to spend some precious time together over the last month. I want to thank you for always being so sweet and being such a great big brother. I love you! Love, your "favorite" little sister, Cathy!
ReplyDeleteHe was a wonderful brother and we all loved him very much. Our phone calls once every few weeks will be missed. His six younger brothers and sisters could not ask for a better oldest big brother. I am so glad I was able to spend time with him during his last few days. My wonderful wife Sandy and our children Kim, Jane, Kevin, Erin, KB and Casey will miss him with all our hearts. We love and miss you brother!
ReplyDeleteI remember Chris most from Christmas when I was little. He was a great daddy and always fun to be around. I will miss him!
ReplyDeleteHearing the news wasnt easy. I didnt realize how many memories I had with Chris over the years I was around him. He was one of the nicest people I had ever been around and always cared for the people around him. The world lost a great man but I know for a fact he will always be remembered by everyone as an amazing person.

i experienced the most amazing blessing this pass weekend...my dad was able to give me away. when we all heard he had cancer, it was the most devastating news ever. me and jeremy decided to get married this past Friday and im SO glad we decided to. it was a BEAUTIFUL ceremony and i wouldnt trade it for anything in the world. to be able to have my dad give me away was amazing and i am grateful everyday for it. we all love my dad tremendously. he was an amazing man, which everyone who ever met him knows. i am more than grateful for the time we had with him and cant wait until i can see him again.
ReplyDeleteChris always made me smile...whether we were working 10 hour days in Tyvek in the middle of summer or tailgating at football games. During my long commute to work and his routine trips to visit clients, we racked up many minutes on the phone. I could ALWAYS depend on Chris to be there for me. He was my co-worker, my confidant, my mentor, my lunch buddy, my "second dad", and most importantly, my best friend. I miss Chris tremendously...but will smile when I think of him because he made me a better person.

ReplyDeleteWe are so sorry for your loss. Our hearts are with you. Chris was a wonderful husband, father & son & will be greatly missed by all. We wish the family well in your time of sorrow.
Chris' funeral was an incredible testimony to what a loved man he was. Jennifer and Stephanie did an amazing job of expressing their love for their dad. There is no doubt in my mind that Chris was looking down and smiling at his girls today. I will miss him dearly. - Amy Smith
ReplyDeleteI will miss my cool brother-in-law. He was also my friend. I enjoyed going to baseball games with him. He was always there for me when I needed him. We had some good laughs at things like "Right you are, Ken." - Eddie Smith
ReplyDeleteChris was one of those people who touches your life and you never forget him. He left so many wonderful memories. He will be missed.

Theres not much I can put into words about my newly aquired Father-in-law. He was a great business man, friend, mentor, and most of all just a great person. He never did meet a stranger, he always made conversations with the most random people but thats what made him so likeable. Most of all I can truely say he loved his daughters. I would always sit back at family functions and glance at their dad and see a little smirk on his face and I could see how proud he was of them. He made me the happiest man alive when he gave me the blessing to marry his baby girl and for that I thank and Love him. I know Ill see him again so until then....
